Data Note: Historical income and population data, 1969-2023, and historical employment data, 1969-2022, are based on U.S. Dept. of Commerce historical data estimates. Employment data for 2023 are forecast. Residential population as of July 1 in every year. Employment in number of jobs includes proprietors and part-time jobs. Total personal income, in constant 2017 dollars, is earnings by place of work plus dividends, interest income, rental income, personal current transfer receipts, and a residence adjustment less contributions for government social insurance.
